Clay County Cat Care's adoption policy
At Clay County Cat Care, we operate a strict home check-approved adoption policy. In line with ensuring animal welfare, we perform home check interviews with all potential adoptive homes.
Your donation upon adoption will help pay for some of the costs of neutering, microchipping, vaccinating, worm/flea treatment, and veterinary check for the adopted cat or kitten.
The normal veterinary cost of chipping, vaccination, spay/neutering, and treatment in Cornwall is often well in excess of £100, our donation requirement ensures our animals have the best possible start at a reduced cost to the owners.

All our cats are micro-chipped, neutered, flead and wormed and vet checked.
For the entire list of adoption terms and conditions, please contact the rescue by phone or email.

This big softie is Arlo! He is 9 years old and is a gorgeous boy that would love a nice warm lap to curl up on.
He would suit a home where he is the only cat as he will want all of your attention! He is a real love bug that is longing for a home where he can receive daily snuggles!

Aurora
Meet Aurora
Do you have the time and patience for a timid cat?
Our beautiful Aurora is very scared of humans. She will run away and hide if you approach her. She is a stunning looking 6 year old Bengal, who we do feel will learn to trust humans again, but this special girl needs someone caring, patient, and willing to let her go at her own pace.
We are looking for an indoor home or one with a cat proof garden or Catio. Adult only home preferred, if older children they would need to be very cat savvy. Experience with the breed is essential.
To find out more about her requirements or if you think you can give her a safe and loving home, please email adopt@claycountycatcare.com

Dolly
Dolly is a sweet, playful girl who believes that age is just a number! She is 15 years old, but is very sprightly and full of life. Dolly is loving and affectionate, but must be allowed her own space when she wants it. She needs to be the only cat in the household, with no young children under 10.
A peaceful, feline free retirement home will allow her loving personality to shine through.

Dolly
Meet Dolly!
Dolly is a 2 1/2 year old Selkirk Rex. She is a very beautiful and relaxed girl who does still love to play and will have her funny 5 minutes! She enjoys being groomed, loves the company of people and will actively seek you out for some attention .
Dolly’s most favourite things to do are bird watching and sunbathing in the window. She is an overall fantastic cat with a wonderful temperament and a tail like a helicopter! Dolly will make a wonderful addition to any family, but would prefer not to be in a multi cat household (maybe just one furry friend) but a home with no dogs.
